What’s New at the WCCC

WCCC Thanks GOCO & Colorado Lottery

Earlier this year, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) awarded the Colorado Youth Corps Association (CYCA) $500,000 in funds to be dedicated equally between GOCO’s Open Space and Local Government purposes. The goal of these funds was to employ youth and young adults (ages 16-25) throughout the state on critical outdoor recreation and land conservation projects using the network of youth corps accredited by CYCA.

The Corps specializes in invasive species removal particularly of these two invasive plants through herbicide application, brush cutting, and chipping. Additionally, the WCCC provides trained saw crews for fire fuels mitigation and removal.
